Art, Memory, and Resistance from Childhood: An International Educational Project in Solidarity with Palestine

A global mural-education initiative connecting children in solidarity with Palestine

The Project

What Is “The Names of Freedom”?

The Names of Freedom is a free, open-access educational initiative that uses mural art to connect children around the world in solidarity with Palestine.

Born in Chile in 2024 and inspired by the voices and images of 42 children from Schools Without Borders in Gaza, the project invites educators, artists, communities, and organizations to create participatory murals adapted to local realities yet united by a common cause: justice and liberation for Palestine.

Why This Matters

Collective voice against genocide

More than art: a global message against the genocide in Palestine, built from children’s protagonism, solidarity among peoples, and the universal language of art.

Learning & Memory

Through mural creation, children express themselves, learn about memory and human rights, and strengthen the culture of grassroots resistance.

Next Phase: Gaza

Our next milestone is to paint the first mural inside Gaza, led by local educators and artists.

Your support will provide materials, tools, and fair pay for facilitators in Gaza.
